• City wise posts :- Bathinda - 37, Muktsar - 21, Mansa - 24, Ferozepur - 34, Moga - 25, Faridkot - 19, Patiala - 34, Fatehgarh Sahib - 11, Barnala - 16, SAS Nagar - 14, Sangrur - 16, Ludhiana - 66 (C.P.) , Jalandhar - 48 (Rural) & 54 (C.P.), Hoshiarpur - 16, Amritsar - 39 (C.P.), Taran Taran - 11,
• Pay Scale : Rs.5910-20200 + Grade Pay Rs.1900/- & the posts shall also carry other allowances as admissible under Government instruction/rules. The selected candidates will be included under "Defined Contribution Pension Scheme" of the State Government.
• Age limit : 18-25 Years (as on 01.09.2010)
• Qualification : The minimum educational qualification for the Punjab Police Recruitment 2010 is 10+2 in any discipline or equivalent. It is compulsory for each applicant to have passed matriculation examination with Punjabi as compulsory/optional subject. However, in case of Ex-Servicemen the minimum education qualification will be matriculation.
  

Method of Selection : Selection shall be made by the District Recruitment Board. Selection process would comprise of three phases.
(A) Physical Measurement
(B) Physical Efficiency Test
(C) Interview
