• City Wise Vacancy:- Bathinda - 485, Muktsar - 388, Mansa - 291, Ferozepur - 388, Moga - 291, Faridkot - 388, Patiala - 388, Fatehgarh Sahib - 97, Barnala - 194, SAS Nagar - 145, Sangrur - 146, Ludhiana - 48 ( Rural) & 534 (C.P.) , Khanna - 49, Ropar - 48, Jalandhar - 437 (Rural) & 485 (C.P.), SBS Nagar - 49, Hoshiarpur - 145, Kapurthala - 49, Amritsar - 48 (Rural) & 339 (C.P.), Taran Taran - 49, Batala - 48, Gurdaspur - 49,
• Pay Scale : Rs.5910-20200 + Grade Pay Rs.1900/- & the posts shall also carry other allowances as admissible under Government instruction/rules. The selected candidates will be included under "Defined Contribution Pension Scheme" of the State Government.
• Age limit : 18-25 Years (as on 01.09.2010)
• Qualification : The minimum educational qualification for the Punjab Police Recruitment 2010 is 10+2 in any discipline or equivalent. It is compulsory for each applicant to have passed matriculation examination with Punjabi as compulsory/optional subject. However, in case of Ex-Servicemen the minimum education qualification will be matriculation.

Method of Selection : Selection shall be made by the District Recruitment Board. Selection process would comprise of three phases.
(A) Physical Measurement
(B) Physical Efficiency Test
(C) Interview
