IACS invites applications from Indian Citizens for filling up various vacancy posts as per details given below:-

1. Registrar : 1 Post in the Pay Band-3, of Rs- 15600-39100 & Grade Pay- Rs.-7600. Higher basic pay may also be considered for an outstanding candidate. Besides, career progression is assured. The total emoluments at the initial of the scale will be Rs. 48,744/- (Approx.) ( Updated )
2. Technical Superintendent : 2 Posts, 1 for the Workshop(reserved for ST) & 1 for Spectroscopy Dept (reserved for OBC) in the Pay band-2 of Rs. 9300-34800/- & grade pay Rs. 4600/-
3. Assistant (F&A): 1(Reserved for ST) in the Administration in the pay band-2 of Rs. 9300-34800/- and grade pay Rs. 4200/.
4. Technical Assistant ‘A’ : 5 posts {one reserved for Physically challenged person in Bio Chemistry Dept. one reserved for OBC in Org Chem} 3 posts in Physical Chemistry , Material Science & CSS Dept in the pay band 2, of Rs. 9300-34800/- and grade pay Rs. 4200/-.
5. Senior Technician: 3 Posts (two reserved for S.C. and one Reserved for S.T.) in the pay band 2, of Rs. 9300-34800/- and grade pay Rs. 4200/- in the Workshop.
6. Senior Store-Keeper: 2 Posts (1 Reserved for OBC), one in Administration & one in Workshop in the pay band 2, of Rs. 9300-34800/- and grade pay Rs. 4200/.
7. Junior Store-Keeper : 1 Post in the Physical Chemistry Department in the pay band 1 of Rs. 5200-20200 and grade pay Rs. 2800/-
8. Telephone Operator cum Receptionist:- 2 Posts (One reserved for OBC) in the Administration in the Pay Band-1, of Rs. 5200-20200/- & Grade Pay Rs. 2800/-
9. Upper Division Clerk:- 1 Post (reserved for SC) in the Workshop in the Pay Band-1, of Rs. 5200-20200/- & Grade Pay Rs. 2800/-.

How to Apply:-
Filled in applications along with a passport size photograph and supporting documents in support of educational qualification, age, Caste (for reserved category only) and experience duly attested, will be received by the Registrar, Indian Association for the cultivation of Science, Kolkata – 700 032, up to 30th October (Extended), 2009. The posts carry allowances, retirement and other benefits as per New Pension Scheme as are admissible to the Central Government Employees stationed at Kolkata. No Objection from the present employers, whenever necessary should be furnished.
