ICMR Recruitment for Projects RMIMP 2010 & QSIMP 2011 in March 2010

ICMR Recruitment Advt March 29 (sno. 1-3) & 30 (sno 4-6) 2010 has been issued for Projects RMIMP 2010 & QSIMP 2011 in March 2010 published in ICMR website http://www.icmr.nic.in/ & as per Recruitment details given for Following posts are to be filled up on purely temporary basis at the Medicinal Plants Unit, ICMR Headquarters, New Delhi in the projects “Review Monographs on Indian Medicinal Plants” and “Quality Standards of Indian Medicinal Plants” The maximum duration of the project-I is upto 31 -03-2011 and project-II is upto 28- 2-2011.

• Project-I – Review Monographs on Indian Medicinal Plants

1. Research Scientists II, Total Posts 2, Salary:- Rs. 20,700/ - pm (fixed)+HRA, Age Limit:- Below 45 years, Qualification :- Ph.D. in Chemistry/Botany/Pharmacy; 3 years experience in handling work relating to natural products/ medicinal plants Desirable (i) Experience in scientific writing, preparation of monographs etc. (ii) Working on databases (iii) Working knowledge of computers, Job Requirement:- To assist in evaluation, scrutiny, finalization of monographs and co-ordination of the programme and other related activities.
2. Research Associates, Total Posts 2,, Salary:-Rs. 17,000/- pm (fixed) + HRA, Age Limit:-Below 40 years,Qualifications: M.D. / Ph.D. in Pharmacology/Chemistry/Botany/Pharmaceutical Sciences, Desirable:-(i) Experience in working on medicinal plants/natural products (ii) Experience in literature search by digital and traditional sources in the field of medicinal plants (iii) Flair for scientific writing, preparation of reviews, reports, Job Requirements:-Literature search relating to medicinal plants/products, compilation of information, preparation/scrutiny of reviews/monographs etc. and other related work.
3. Senior Research Fellow, Total Posts 1,Salary:-Rs. 14,000/- pm (fixed) + HRA, Age:-Below 35 years. Qualifications MSc. (Botany/Chemistry/Medicinal Plants/Pharmacology) with 2 years experience -or M. Pharma.Desirable :-(i) Experience in literature search, retrieval, scientific writing, dissemination of information relating to medicinal plants (ii) Diploma/Degree in computer applications, Job Requirements:- Literature search, retrieval and dissemination of information relating to medicinal plants/products, employing digital and traditional sources, compilation of information, preparation of reviews/monographs etc.
4. Programme Associates, Total Posts 2, Salary:-Rs. 13,455/ - pm (fixed), Age:- Below 35 years, Qualification M. Pharma/ MSc. (Chemistry/Botany/Computer Science/IT)/MCA Desirable (i) 2 years experience in scientific work on medicinal plants (ii) Experience in literature search on online databases (iii) Experience in programming, website designing.Job Requirement:- To assist in work relating to Review Monographs on Indian medicinal plants (The work may involve evaluation, documentation, scrutiny of monographs, preparation of indices/appendices, computerization of data, literature search, programming etc).
5. Data Entry Assistant, Total Posts 1, Salary:- Rs. 9,630/- pm (fixed), Age:- Below 28 years, Qualifications:- Graduate with 2 years relevant experience, Desirable (i) Diploma/Certificate in computer applications from a reputed institution (ii) Science graduates or Experience of working in scientific institution or scientific information, Job requirements:- Computerization of information on medicinal plants, preparation of presentations etc.

• Project-II – Quality Standards of Indian Medicinal Plants

1. Data Entry Assistants, Total 2, Salary:-Rs. 9,630/- pm (fixed), Age:-Below 28 years, Qualifications Graduate with 2 years relevant experience, Desirable (i) Diploma/Certificate in computer applications from a reputed institution (ii) Science graduates or Experience of working in scientific institution or scientific information, Job requirements:- Computerization of information on medicinal plants.

The interested candidates possessing the above qualifications alongwith (i) Six copies of biodata for each position (if appearing for more than one position) (ii) certificates and testimonials in original and one attested copy of the same, may report for interview to Head, medicinal plants unit as per schedule given below:-
