• Assistant Commandant (General Duty), Educational Qualification :-Bachelor’s degree in any discipline of a recognized university by the Central/ State Government/UGC with Mathematics and Physics as subjects up to 12th Std of 10+2+3 scheme of education
  
• Assistant Commandant General Duty (Pilot / Navigator) , Educational Qualification :-B.Sc with Mathematics and Physics
  
• Assistant Commandant Commercial Pilot License (Cpl) Holders For Short Service appointment, Educational Qualification :-12th class passed or equivalent and should possess current Commercial Pilot License (CPL) on the date of submission of application
• Assistant Commandant Women (General Duty) For Short Service Appointment, Educational Qualification :- Degree of a recognized university with Mathematics and Physics as subjects up to Intermediate or Class XII of 10+2+3 scheme of education or equivalent
• Assistant Commandant Technical (Mechanical/Electrical Branch), Educational Qualification :- (i) Degree in Naval Architecture /Marine Mechanical/Electrical/Tele-Communication & electronic/Design /Production/Aeronautical/Control Electrical)Engineering or equivalent Qualification, disciplines in any ofthe above, recognised by All India Council for Technical ducation(AICTE) or Marine Engineering graduates of IMET Kolkata,or (ii) In Possession of Government of India,Ministry of Surface Transport Certificate of Competency as 1st class Engineer of Motor ship or other similar certificate recognised by the Government,or (iii) Possesses final examination certificate of the College of Marine Engineering under the Department of Surface Transport, Government of India, or (iv) Have passed section ‘A’ & ‘B’ of Institute of Engineers (India) Examination in any of disciplines listed at sl. no. (i).
