Central Silk Board invits applications from Indian Nationals for filling up various vacancy posts of Research Fellow as per details given below:-
Junior Research Fellows
- Placement :- Department of Biotechnology (Government of India)
- Studies on diapause related gene expression in diapause induced eggs of multivoltine silkworm races of Bombyx mori, Total post and Project duration:- One ,3 years (w.e.f. June,09)
- Identification and mapping of DNA markers linked to NPV resistance in silkworm Bombyx mori., Total post and Project duration:- TWO ,2 years (w.e.f. June,09)
- Molecular mechanism of stress in silkworms Bombyx mori and Samia Cynthia ricini, Total post and Project duration:- TWO ,3 years (w.e.f. June,09)
- Biology of microspordians infecting silkwmoths (Bombyx mori and Antheraea mylitta), Total post and Project duration:- TWO ,3 years (w.e.f. June,09)
Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Zoology/ Biochemistry/ Molecular Biology/ Animal Genetics/ Biotechnology/ Life Sciences with an aggregate of 60% marks (5% relaxable to SC/ST candidates)
Desirable: CSIR-UGC NET passed for JRF. Experience in RNA isolation, gene cloning & expression, Insect / Animal cell culture and technical expertise in molecular techniques.
