Applications in the prescribed format are invited from the Indian Nationals (Citizens of India as defined in the Constitution of India or under any law made by the Parliament to regulate the rights for citizenship) for filling up the existing vacancies and preparing a panel of candidates for appointment to the following posts on the establishment of this Court:-
1. SENIOR JUDICIAL TRANSLATOR– (Likely vacancies 3) (Pay band of Rs.9300-34800+ Grade Pay of Rs. 4600)
Essential Qualifications:- B.A.(Hons.) in English or Hindi or Urdu with Diploma/ Certificate course in translation from Hindi/ Urdu to English and vice versa from University/ Institute recognized by the Government OR 3 years experience in translation work from Hindi/ Urdu to English and vice versa in Central/ State Government offices/ Parliament/ State Legislature Secretariats or Central/ State Public Sector Undertakings/ Supreme Court of India/ High Courts.
2. JUDICIAL TRANSLATOR – (Likely vacancies 8) (UR-3, OBC-3, SC-1, ST-1) (Pay band of Rs.9300-34800+ Grade Pay of Rs. 4200)
Essential Qualification:- Graduate with English/ Hindi/ Urdu as one of the languages at the degree level and Diploma/ certificate course in translation from Hindi/ Urdu to English and vice versa from University/ Institute recognized by the Government OR 2 years experience in translation work from Hindi/ Urdu to English and vice versa in Central/ State Government Offices/ Parliament/ State Legislature Secretariats or Central/ State Public Sector Undertakings/ Supreme Court of India/ High Courts.
Age Limit :-Age should not be below 18 years and over 27 years as on 01.01.2009. The upper age limit for members of Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes shall be 32 years and for other Backward Classes 30 years. The upper age relaxation for physically disabled persons shall be 10 years (13 years for OBC & 15 years for SC/ST). There shall be no upper age limit for persons serving in this Court or the Courts subordinate to this Court. The relaxation in upper age limit will not be applicable to the candidates who are working in other Govt. Departments/ Public Sector Undertakings.
Mode of Selection for both the posts: - Selection shall be made on the basis of written Examination. The candidates who are declared qualified in the written examination will be called to appear for interview.

Application accompanied by a Demand Draft/ Postal order of Rs. 200/- (Rupees two hundred only) (Non-refundable). drawn in favour of Registrar General, Delhi High Court (No fee shall be payable by the SC/ST/PH Candidates) and two recent passport size photographs duly attested by a Gazetted Officer along with attested copies of testimonial should be sent by Registered A.D. Post with the words “APPLICATIONS FOR THE POST OF:-__________ ” superscribed on the envelope, addressed to the Joint Registrar(Estt.), Delhi High Court, Sher Shah Road, New Delhi-110003, so as to reach him not later than 13.08.2009.
