Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will hold on Sunday, the 6th September 2009 an open competitive examination for recruitment to the post of Sub-Inspectors in Central Police Organisations in the pay scale of Rs. 9300-34800 in Pay band 2 with Grade pay of Rs. 4200 (Pre-revised Rs. 5500-9000) all over the country.

• Sub-Inspectors: 2153 Posts
• Pay: Rs. 9300-34800 in Pay band 2 with Grade pay of Rs. 4200 (Pre-revised Rs. 5500-9000)
• Age Limits: 20-25 years as on 26.06.09 (Relaxable as per govt. rules)
• Qualification: Graduation (Bachelor's Degree) in any stream from a recognized University or equivalent.
• Fee: Rs. 100/- (One Hundred). No fee for SC/ST and Ex.S.M.
• Last Date: 26.06.09 (03.07.09 for candidates from far-flung areas)
